Stefanos Tsitsipas was dismantled by Jannik Sinner at the Six Kings Slam, but he did manage to reach a 2025 milestone.
Tsitsipas was outclassed in his quarter-finals clash against the World No. 2, falling to a humbling 6-2, 6-3 loss in Saudi Arabia.
The Greek collected an astonishing $1.5 million for his short time on court, but it also marked a surprising first for him in 2025.
Tsitsipas achieved something that he is yet to do all year on the ATP Tour as he comprehensively fell to Sinner.

Stefanos Tsitsipas hit 2025 milestone during loss to Jannik Sinner
Tsitsipas’ match with Sinner at the Six Kings Slam was the first time he’s played a top 10 player in the entirety of 2025.
The Six Kings Slam does not count for ATP Tour records as it’s just an exhibition event, but it’s a remarkable statistic nonetheless.
The Greek’s poor form in 2025 has meant that he’s not only dropped in the rankings, but he’s barely brushed shoulders with the best players in the world.
The highest-ranked players Tsitsipas has played this year are World No. 11 Lorenzo Musetti, World No. 13 Holger Rune, and World No. 14 Arthur Fils, all of whom he lost to.
The star’s best tournament of the year came in Dubai, but he didn’t play a single player ranked in the top 20 as he lifted the trophy.
Stefanos Tsitsipas reacts to difficult loss to Jannik Sinner
The difference in class between Sinner and Tsitsipas was clear for everyone to see, and even the Greek star recognised he was deservedly beaten in Saudi Arabia.
Taking to social media after his Riyadh exit, Tsitsipas wrote: “Tried my best and enjoyed myself out there tonight; Jannik Sinner was simply stellar.
“Thank you for welcoming me with open arms, Riyadh,” wrote the World No. 24 on X as he suffered his second loss in five matches.
Tsitsipas is confirmed for the upcoming Hellenic Championship in Athens, which will also include Novak Djokovic.
