Stan Wawrinka believes one match he played in his career stood out more than others.
Wawrinka is retiring from tennis this year, bringing an end to his decorated 24-year career.
The Swiss champion has been part of many big matches in his career, with Wawrinka winning three Grand Slam titles.
After Wawrinka played his final match at Roland Garros, he revealed which of his many career wins stood out the most to him.

Stan Wawrinka claims his win over Novak Djokovic is the greatest match he has played in his career
Wawrinka spoke to TNT Sports after losing to Jesper De Jong, where he was asked about his win over Novak Djokovic in the 2015 Roland Garros final.
The 41-year-old responded by calling his victory over Djokovic in that final as the best match of his career in terms of his level.
“This was probably the best match of my career in general, level wise,” said Wawrinka. “It was a tough final for sure.
“I was super nervous before. You don’t want to miss that opportunity when you play a final of a French Open but I was really confident with myself, with the way that I could end the physical fight and the tennis fight, so it was really special.”

Wawrinka was then asked what he is most proud of about his career, to which he responded by speaking about the importance of having no regrets when he stops playing.
“I think for me the most important is to make sure that when I stop I don’t have any regrets,” said Wawrinka.
“Of course, there are always a few small ones, with a match here or there but in a way that I want to give everything and push myself to be the best player possible. I think that is what I did. I always tried to push more and that’s the thing I am most proud of.”

Grass is statistically Wawrinka’s worst surface, having only won 50% of his tour-level matches on it.
Wawrinka’s best results at Wimbledon came in 2014 and 2015 when he reached the quarterfinals, but he is not even in the main draw this year as the 15th alternate.
Given his previous results on grass, it is unclear as to whether Wawrinka is likely to get a wildcard for Wimbledon this year.
