Social Slice: Murray and Federer practice; Djokovic arrives at Wimbledon

On today’s Social Slice, Andy Murray and Roger Federer gear up to Wimbledon and Novak Djokovic arrives at SW19 after his exploits in Mallorca.

Firstly, Murray and Federer continued their preparations for Wimbledon with a practice session on court 14 which attracted plenty of media attention.

After warming up, the pair played a set which Murray reportedly led 6-5 before they wrapped things up at 6:02pm.

As stated by @TennisTV, with 10 Wimbledon titles between them, these guys certainly know a thing or two about grass!

One player who hasn’t yet graced the Wimbledon turf is Alex de Minaur after the Australian reached the final in Eastbourne by beating Korean star Soon-woo Kwon.

On his way to victory, the 22-year-old won one of the points of the grass-court season so far.

How did he not touch the net? Remarkable.

Another player into a grass-court final ahead of Wimbledon is World No 2 Daniil Medvedev.

The Russian recovered from a set down to oust Pablo Carreno Busta and reach his first final since lifting the Marseille title in March.

Take a look at this wonderfully executed passing shot from the 25-year-old.

A great sight to see is two-time defending champion Novak Djokovic back at SW19.

The Serbian enjoyed a practice session with Italian star Jannik Sinner and even took a dive as he put the ball back past the 19-year-old.

I am sure it won’t be the last we see!

Not only did the Serbian enjoy his return on the courts of SW19, but also off it as he was pictured doing hill sprints!

Some great shots from @Wimbledon.

In the women’s, 2018 Wimbledon champion Angelique Kerber is showing signs she is back to her best on the grass courts.

A set to the good against Katerina Siniakova in the Bad Homburg final, she produced this moment of brilliance. Could this be Kerber’s year?
