Carlos Alcaraz became the youngest player to reach seven Grand Slams since Bjorn Borg when he won the Australian Open.
Alcaraz has now been predicted to reach 20 Grand Slams after reaching such a high number before he’s even turned 23.
The Spaniard will be hoping to add to his tally at the remaining Grand Slams of the year, at Roland Garros, Wimbledon, and the US Open.
After winning yet another Grand Slam, Ivan Ljubicic has claimed Alcaraz has it ‘easier’ than previous generations did.

Ivan Ljubicic says Carlos Alcaraz has it ‘easier’ thanks to Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic
Ljubicic, who coached Roger Federer between 2014 and 2015, suggested Alcaraz’s quest for Grand Slams has become straightforward after the exploits of the big three.
Speaking to Tennis World Italia, via Punto De Break, the Croatian said: “What Federer, Djokovic, and Nadal have achieved, winning 20 or more Grand Slams, might make it easier today to win seven at 22.
Ljubicic said Alcaraz has been given a blueprint of how to achieve Grand Slam success by Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic.
Which member of the ‘Big Three’ is Carlos Alcaraz most similar to? Let us know why below👇
“Back then, Pete Sampras was the reference point, so when he reached 14 we said to ourselves, ‘I have to do it.’ Now the goal is different, the target is 25, so it’s still far off.
“From a mental point of view, you tell yourself, ‘Okay, seven is not an incredible number because I have to reach 25.’
“It would be very different to win seven with the goal of reaching ten. In my opinion, mentally it’s easier to win seven Grand Slams now, compared to Borg who won seven when he was very young.”
Alcaraz has won seven Grand Slams at a younger age than Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic managed.
How does Carlos Alcaraz rank with Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic so far?
Alcaraz’s numbers are even more remarkable by the age of 22 when compared to the greatest players to ever play the game.
Alcaraz overtook Nadal’s record at the same age by winning the Australian Open, as the King of Clay won six major tournaments at 22.
What do you think is Carlos Alcaraz’s best surface and why?
Federer, meanwhile, long considered to be a late bloomer, still won three Grand Slam titles by the age of 22.
Djokovic only had one major title to his name by the age of 22, which was the 2009 Australian Open crown.
Alcaraz is more than on track to topple the Grand Slam record set by the ‘big three’.
Federer ended his career on 20 Grand Slam titles, Nadal on 22, and Djokovic is still playing with 24 major wins.
