‘Roger Federer is the most mesmerizing player tennis has ever seen,’ says top ten ace

Roger Federer is the most mesmerizing player tennis has ever seen, says Tim Henman, but he won’t be coming back to just ‘make up the numbers.’

Federer is due to make his long-awaited return to tennis on March 8 in Doha following a year out of the sport due to injury.

Debate has raged over what Federer will be capable of when he returns given he is 39-years-old and underwent double knee-surgery during his absence.

Henman, though, thinks we will see a highly motivated Federer when he returns to the court.

“His old level is so high, he’s not going to come back just to be making up the numbers,” Tim Henman said of Roger Federer, as quoted by Forbes.

“He wants to be back competing to win the biggest and best tournaments.

“That’s not going to get any easier as you get close to your 40th birthday. But he’s working incredibly hard, I’m sure.

“For me, he’s the most mesmerizing player we have probably ever had in our sport.”
