Nick Kyrgios is set for a high-profile return to tennis at the Brisbane International in 2026.
The Australian has not played an ATP-level tournament since the Miami Open, where he beat Mackenzie McDonald and lost to Karan Khachanov.
Kyrgios is a former Brisbane International winner when he claimed the singles title in 2018, and he is also set to play the doubles in 2026.
The controversial star has been awarded a wild card for both formats and his doubles partner has now been revealed.

The Brisbane International has confirmed that Nick Kyrgios will play the doubles event alongside Thanasi Kokkinakis.
The pair have long played together, with their partnership peaking when they won the Australian Open in 2022.

The pair received a wild card for their home Grand Slam and ended up defeating top seeds Nikola Mektić and Mate Pavić, as well as Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos.
The Australian pair will be hoping to perform well once again in their home country as wild cards at the Brisbane International.
Kyrgios has played the Brisbane International doubles event several times, including notably with Taylor Fritz in 2019.

Kyrgios has long adored playing in Brisbane and he’s achieved some of the finest results of his career at the tournament.
After winning the Brisbane International in 2018, he said: “I’ve got fond memories of Brisbane, played Davis Cup here, and had a massive win over the US. Coming here all week I felt right at home.”

He added: “I love playing in front of you guys even though sometimes you may not see it that way, but I do.”
