The 21-year-old Scot is eager to get back into major tournament action after his quest for Olympic gold in China ended in failure.
The British number one, who faces Argentinian Sergio Roitman in the opening round at Flushing Meadows, said: “New York is one of my favourite cities. I think it’s a great atmosphere. I love the tournament as well, the atmosphere is different to all the other grand slams.”
