Murray hoping for Hatton backing

The British number one, who is a huge boxing fan, was watched courtside by the former world champion as he beat Rafael Nadal in the quarter-finals on Tuesday.

Hatton, who is on holiday in Australia, had planned to be in Murray’s box for Thursday’s match against Marin Cilic but was unable to attend as his fiancee was ill. The boxer is due to leave Melbourne for Sydney before Sunday but Murray is hopeful he will change his schedule.
