Mirra Andreeva has enjoyed an excellent spell of form at the start of the clay-court swing.
Last week, the Russian won the Linz Open title, becoming only the third woman – after Aryna Sabalenka and Jessica Pegula – to win multiple WTA Tour titles this year.
The 18-year-old has continued to perform at a high level in Stuttgart, defeating defending champion Jelena Ostapenko in her opening match.

Andreeva has long been regarded as one of the brightest young talents on the WTA Tour, alongside Canadian starlet Victoria Mboko.
Andreeva and Mboko played doubles at the Brisbane International earlier this year, reaching the quarter-finals.
Mirra Andreeva discusses the possibility of playing doubles with Victoria Mboko again
After defeating Jelena Ostapenko in Stuttgart, Andreeva was asked whether she has plans to play doubles with Victoria Mboko again after their stint in Brisbane.
“Yeah, well, I texted her [Mboko], and at first she told me that she was set,” Andreeva told reporters in Stuttgart. “I don’t remember where I texted her first, and she was set already for that tournament. I was, like, ‘okay, we’ll play next time.’

“I asked her again for Indian Wells and Miami. She said, I’m set for Indian Wells, but we can play Miami though.
“I’m, like, ‘how long before the tournament should I ask you for you to be free so we can play together?’
“And then I don’t know whatever happened, and maybe she messed some things up, and she said, ‘oh, sorry, I’m not set for both of these tournaments.’
“I think maybe she messed up the tournaments or the dates. Yeah, I just asked her, and that’s how we played together.
“But for clay tournaments, Madrid and Rome, I’m playing with Diana [Shnaider]. Yeah, that’s our old, kind of old collaboration. We both know each other very well.
“Yeah, we’ll see who I’m gonna play doubles with on the further tournaments, but it’s not like I’m obliged to play with one or the other player.

“I’m just choosing with whoever I’m comfortable with and with whoever I will have fun on the court.”
Returning to Andreeva’s participation in Stuttgart, the Russian will play American Alycia Parks in the third round.
Andreeva won their only previous meeting on the Tour, beating Parks 6-0, 6-1 at the 2025 US Open.
If Andreeva beats Parks, she will play Iga Swiatek in the Stuttgart Open quarter-finals.

The pair first met at the 2024 Cincinnati Open. Swiatek emerged victorious from the quarter-final contest, beating Andreeva 4-6, 6-3, 7-5.

Andreeva has won both of their last two contests: at the 2025 Dubai Tennis Championships and 2025 Indian Wells.
After defeating Swiatek 7-6, 1-6, 6-3 in Indian Wells, Andreeva told reporters: “Yes, it was a really tough match, tough conditions. I tried to really hang in there.
“It was not easy, but I’m just super happy with the win today, and I can’t wait to play finals on Sunday.”
Andreeva went on to win the title, beating Aryna Sabalenka in the final.
