Iga Swiatek suffered her first loss under new coach Francisco Roig as she fell to a three-set defeat to Mirra Andreeva in Stuttgart.
Andreeva and Swiatek played out a thrilling contest at the German event, which the Russian teenager took with a deciding set.
Andreeva was delighted to beat Swiatek and continue her unbeaten start to the clay court swing, following her title victory at the Linz Open prior to the Stuttgart event.
The Russian star was able to produce a feat against Swiatek in Stuttgart, which no star has managed for seven years.
