No words can describe Thursday at Crandon Park other than scintillating, sexy and dam-right sensational.

The shock of the day came from the men’s draw, which saw sixth seed Argentine Juan Martin del Potro come from two breaks down in the third and final set to overcome world No.1 Rafael Nadal 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 in the last 8.

The second quarter-final was a much calmer affair, in which, world No.4 Andy Murray saw off his Aussie Open nemesis Fernando Verdasco 6-1, 6-2.

The women’s semi-finals were also thrilling; Belarussian star Victoria Azarenka played the match of her life to take out eight seed and former champion Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-3, 2-6, 7-5.

Azza will go onto play world No.1 Serena Williams who got revenge on her older sister Venus in a three set thriller winning 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.
