Mathieu makes final

Fourth-seed Mathieu won his last-four clash 7-6 (10/8) 7-6 (7/1) to set up a final meeting with fifth seed Dmitry Tursunov on Sunday.

Tursunov, a 6-3 6-4 winner over Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic, also will be gunning for his fifth title on Sunday.

The Russian, ranked 32 in the world, won his most recent title earlier this year in Sydney.

He beat Mathieu in the pair’s only previous meeting.
