Lorenzo Musetti labelled Stefanos Tsitsipas as “one of the best guys on tour” and said he will try not to let the Greek dominate him in their Lyon semi-final clash.The 19-year-old will meet the world No. 5 in the last four of the ATP 250 tournament on Saturday.
Musetti beat Aljaz Bedene 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) in the quarter-finals today, while Tsitsipas saw off Yoshihito Nishioka in straight sets.
“He is one of the best guys on tour. Acapulco was really tough for me as I played a lot of matches and I didn’t have enough energy to play 100 per cent,” said Musetti in a post-match interview.
“He served really well, and he played well with the forehand, moving me around a lot. I will try to lead the match and try not have him dominate me.”
The Italian was defeated 6-1, 6-3 by the 22-year-old in their only previous clash – in the Acapulco semi-finals two months ago.
