“You’re an amazing player and super talented. Congrats to you and your team.”

The title-winning campaign in Germany represents Noskova’s first since triumphing at the 2024 Monterrey Open.

Noskova’s next step

The Czech player is now set to travel to Bad Homburg for her next grass-court event.

Noskova, seeded fifth at the WTA 500 tournament, will play Romania’s Elena-Gabriela Ruse in the first round.

Should she advance, Noskova will play either Sinja Kraus or Anna Kalinskaya.

Ironically, Jessica Pegula is the defending Bad Homburg champion. She defeated Iga Swiatek 6-4, 7-5 in last year’s final.

I know you say you can’t play on grass, but trust me you can still play pretty good on grass,” Pegula told Swiatek during her post-match speech. “Cut yourself some slack.

“Good luck for next week, I know it’s a short turnaround for both of us.”

Pegula has chosen not to take part in this year’s Bad Homburg event.
