Emma Raducanu returned to form in 2025 after a couple of years where injury derailed her career.

Raducanu might have ended her 2025 season early, but she showed signs of real improvement across the year.

The British star will end the season inside the top 30, which will likely earn her seeded entry into the Australian Open.

Raducanu’s fortunes look positive ahead of the 2026 season as she prepares for a full year with new coach Francisco Roig.

Laura Robson says Emma Raducanu is ‘more relaxed’ in 2025

Raducanu might not have reached the latter stages of tournaments too many times in 2025, but she picked up more wins than ever before.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Laura Robson shared the biggest difference she’s noticed in Raducanu this season.

She explained: “I can’t imagine how much pressure it felt like for a while there with everyone expecting you to have the same kind of results.

“It’s very, very difficult to back it up when you’re healthy, let alone somebody who’s coming back from injury woes. It’s something that we saw at the US Open.

“It feels like she’s a bit more relaxed. She played a bit of golf in New York and just enjoying her time on the court, which is by far the most important thing. You forget how young she is.”

Raducanu opted out of exhibition matches in December, so her next tournament will be the United Cup in January. She will play alongside Jack Draper, Billy Harris, Mimi Xu, and Olivia Nicholls.

Emma Raducanu’s consistent 2025 in numbers

Raducanu ended the season with 28 victories and 22 losses as she climbed the rankings of the WTA Tour yet again.

The British star often picked up victories against players ranked lower than her, but struggled against top 10 players.

She was knocked out of tournaments by Aryna Sabalenka, Jessica Pegula, Qinwen Zheng, Iga Swiatek, and Coco Gauff.

The star picked up one win against a top 10 opponent in 2025, defeating world number 10 Emma Navarro at the Miami Open.

Raducanu also beat Amanda Anisimova at the tournament, but she was ranked world number 17 at the time.
