Jannik Sinner continued his perfect start at the ATP Finals by defeating Ben Shelton in his third group stage game.
Sinner has beaten Alexander Zverev, Felix Auger-Aliassime and now Shelton as he’s continued his supreme form at the Italian tournament.
The Italian will play Alex de Minaur in the semi-finals of the Turin tournament as he looks to continue 29-match winning streak on indoor hardcourts.
Despite his comprehensive victory against Shelton at the ATP Finals, Laura Robson spotted a change in Sinner’s attitude.

Laura Robson said Jannik Sinner was in a ‘funny mood’ against Ben Shelton
Robson was watching on courtside for Sky Sports and revealed that Sinner was acting in a similar way to how he did at the Paris Masters.
Robson explained: “Jannik Sinner in a very funny mood today. It’s funny, you don’t often see this from him, but I’ve just seen a sarcastic thumbs up to his coaching box and it is reminding me a bit of the attitude we saw from him in Paris when he was asking them for more.”
Sinner was argumentative with his coaching team at the French tournament and he did the same at the ATP Finals.
“He’s sat down in front of me shaking his head a little bit, but you wonder if he’s using this match as a bit of a stepping stone for the rest of the tournament.
“With the way he’s going after some of these forehands in particular. So low percentage, so powerful for sure. It’s understandable he’s going to miss a few if he’s going for a 185 down the line.”
His attitude might have been different, but Sinner’s dominance continued in his final group match. The Italian is yet to drop a set at the tournament, and another final with Carlos Alcaraz is looking likely.

Sinner finished top of his group at the ATP Finals and he’s gearing up for his third consecutive semi-final at the year-end tournament.
The Italian has become just the fourth player to reach the semi-finals of all four Grand Slams and the ATP Finals in a single season. Sinner joins Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, and Ivan Lendl in the elite list.
