Andy Murray will coach Jack Draper at Wimbledon this summer.
The two-time Wimbledon champion’s only previous coaching experience came alongside Novak Djokovic, whom he guided to the Australian Open semis and the Miami Open final last year.
Hoping to enjoy further success with Draper, Murray will be in his coaching box for the foreseeable future.
How excited are you for Andy Murray to join Jack Draper’s team?
What a signing!
During the latest episode of the ‘Love All‘ podcast, Kim Clijsters delivered her verdict on their new relationship and shared what Murray is really like behind the scenes.
Kim Clijsters says Andy Murray is ‘really funny’ and thinks that can help Jack Draper at Wimbledon
First, Clijsters responded when asked if having Murray as his coach could be overwhelming for Draper.
“Oh, yeah, I think it can definitely go both ways,” said Clijsters.
“Andy [Murray] has always been such an open person, you don’t even have to be from his part of the world, or you don’t have to be a male player, if you go up to him and ask him questions about tennis or advice, he will give you his time, sit down, and give you his advice.

“I think, a lot of the time, understanding and connecting to somebody like that is a lot more valuable than having a great coach with a huge resume and thinking, ok, he’s going to tell me what to do.
“The connection that you have to feel with a coach is so much more important.”
Clijsters believes Murray can help take the pressure off Draper as he prepares for Wimbledon.
“And Andy is really funny,” she said.
“If you can have fun, too, and can make you laugh before big moments… Especially for guys like that, it is a lot more stressful during Wimbledon!
“I saw it back in the day with Tim Henman, and then with Andy, and now with a guy like Jack, there is a lot more attention, there is pressure, every day, every newspaper in the country talks about these guys.
“So if you have somebody who has been there, who’s gone through that, who can take a little bit of the load away from you, or the spotlight away, is definitely something that can be very, very helpful.
“I’m just happy to see Jack on the court playing, enjoying himself, and being healthy.”

Draper made his long-awaited return to tennis at this week’s Eastbourne Open, having suffered a knee injury at the Barcelona Open in April.
The former world number four won his first-round match against Marcos Giron in straight sets, picking up his first ATP Tour win in 102 days.
How would you rate Jack Draper’s first performance since returning from injury?
Draper will be keen to continue his march towards the title in Eastbourne, but his fitness is the priority.
If the 24-year-old feels any discomfort this week, don’t be surprised to see him withdraw from Eastbourne as a precautionary measure.
The real goal is Wimbledon, and while the title may prove to be a step too far in 2026, with Murray by his side, you would be wise not to count Draper out.
What happened to Jack Draper at Wimbledon last year?
12 months ago, Draper travelled to London with high expectations, having won Indian Wells earlier in the year.
He made a strong start to his Wimbledon campaign, leading Sebastian Baez 6-2, 6-2, 6-1, when the Argentine retired from the match.
Then he met the 2014 US Open champion and former Wimbledon finalist, Marin Cilic, in the second round.
The Croat made a blistering start, taking the first two sets on Court One, before Draper fought back, winning the third set to halve the deficit.
Jack Draper vs Marin Cilic – Match stats
| Stats | Jack Draper | Marin Cilic |
| Aces | 14 | 16 |
| Double faults | 0 | 6 |
| 1st Serve % | 62% | 57% |
| Win % on 1st Serve | 74% | 78% |
| Win % on 2nd Serve | 46% | 69% |

He was unable to turn things around, though, losing in four sets, 4-6, 3-6, 6-1, 4-6.
The defeat was a shock to the system for Draper, who many expected to make a deep run at the All England Club.
A year older and wiser, perhaps he can fulfil that Wimbledon promise in 2026.
