third round of the US Open on Friday before the Russian fifth seed came away with a 6-3, 6-4 victory.

Keothavong, who should climb to a career-high world ranking of around 70 after the event, recovered from a 3-1 deficit to lead with a break at 4-3 in the second, before Dementieva turned the screw.

We musnt be blue, though, its been a great week for the 24-year-old Londoner.

Its been fantastic watching Anne battle through two rounds at Flushing Meadows and a pleasure to have her blogging for us while shes been in New York.

We hope to get one more blog out of her before she jets back to the UK. Come back soon to hear what she thought of her third round defeat.
