The British number one ran out a 6-0 6-1 winner against her Romanian opponent, setting up a potential clash with former Wimbledon champion Maria Sharapova in the last four of the Warsaw Open.

The world number 56 dominated 20-year-old Olaru from the first point with a clinical performance and appears to be shaping up nicely ahead of the French Open at Roland Garros.

The last British woman to match Keothavong’s feat was Jo Durie in 1983.
