Jasmine Paolini enjoyed an excellent Wimbledon campaign, bouncing back emphatically from her early season struggles.
The Italian, a two-time Grand Slam finalist, slipped out of the WTA top 10 earlier this season after enduring multiple early exits at high-profile events.
However, she steadied the ship at Wimbledon, beating Maria Sakkari and Alexandra Eala en route to the quarter-finals.

Unfortunately for Paolini, injury has plagued her campaign since leaving south-west London.
This physical concern has led to the Italian withdrawing from two significant WTA events.

“Unfortunately, I’ve decided to withdraw from Washington and Toronto so I can give my foot some extra time to rest,” Paolini wrote in a post on her Instagram story.
“I’m sorry I won’t be there and I wish everyone involved two amazing tournaments.
“Thank you, as always, for all your love and support.”
Paolini competed in two events during last year’s North American hard-court swing: the Canadian Open and Cincinnati Open.
In Canada, Paolini was beaten in her opening match by unseeded Japanese player Aoi Ito.
The Italian bounced back tremendously in Cincinnati, beating Barbora Krejcikova and Coco Gauff on her way to the final.
Iga Świątek defeated Paolini in the showpiece event, 7-5, 6-4.
Paolini is defending 660 points during this year’s North American swing; only 10 of which are in Canada.

Paolini has won two WTA 1000 titles during her career.
The first was at the 2024 Dubai Tennis Championships. The Italian defeated Anna Kalinskaya in the final, 4–6, 7–5, 7–5.
It was a breakout year for Paolini, who went on to reach the Roland Garros and Wimbledon finals.
Paolini’s second triumph at the WTA 1000 level came around one year later at the Italian Open.
Upon beating Coco Gauff, Paolini became the first Italian Women’s Singles champion at the event since Raffaella Reggi in 1985.
