This is particularly significant, as Paolini and Sara Errani were the defending champions in the women’s doubles draw at Roland Garros this year.
While Paolini will not be playing in the doubles tournament this year, Errani remains in the draw with a new partner in the form of Austrian teenager Lilli Tagger, who is predicted to win Grand Slam singles titles in the future.
Paolini reached the final of the Roland Garros singles tournament in 2024, but she looks to be an injury concern ahead of her first round match this year.
