Jannik Sinner has commiserated with Alexander Zverev after coming out on top in their thrilling Wimbledon final.
Sinner and Zverev battled it out for almost four hours on Centre Court, with the former successfully defending his title.
Wimbledon played host to their exciting final, but ultimately the Italian demonstrated his physical and mental prowess to lift the trophy.
And Sinner has now shown his class off the court, reaching out to Zverev on social media shortly after their meeting at SW19.

Jannik Sinner congratulates Alexander Zverev on his Wimbledon run
Zverev posted on his Instagram after the match: “Not the trophy I wanted to hold, but still one to be proud of.
“Thanks for your support over these last two weeks.
“See you next year Wimbledon.”
And sharing that post, Sinner wrote on his Instagram story: “Congrats Sascha on an incredible tournament.
“Great battle yesterday, you pushed me to the limit.
“Respect.”
It’s a classy move from the world number one, who has now extended his head-to-head record with the German to 11-4.
Sinner has also earned £3.6million for winning Wimbledon, which represents his sixth ATP title of the 2026 season.

Jannik Sinner’s run to the Wimbledon title
It was another truly superb Wimbledon run from Sinner, who remarkably found himself under serious pressure in his first match.
He needed five sets to make it past Miomir Kecmanovic, which clearly gave him a lot of confidence as he did not drop another set until meeting Zverev.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Sinner admitted to finding it difficult losing the first set to Zverev, but the top seed showed great determination to come from behind against the second seed.
| Round | Opponent | Score |
| First round | Miomir Kecmanovic | 4-6, 6-3, 6-7, 6-2, 6-3 |
| Second round | Nuno Borges | 7-6, 7-6, 6-4 |
| Third round | Jenson Brooksby | 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 |
| Round of 16 | Shintaro Mochizuki | 6-3, 7-6, 6-3 |
| Quarter-final | Jan-Lennard Struff | 7-5, 7-6, 6-3 |
| Semi-final | Novak Djokovic (7) | 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 |
| Final | Alexander Zverev (2) | 6-7, 7-6, 6-3, 6-4 |
There was, of course, also a victory over Novak Djokovic during the run, which again demonstrates his mental strength given that the Serbian won their Australian Open semi-final earlier this year.
In a simply stunning 2026, world number one Sinner boasts 44 wins and just three losses, having just taken his career title tally to 30.
