Jannik Sinner advanced to the Indian Wells final on Saturday after beating Alexander Zverev in straight sets.
Sinner, the world number two, defeated Zverev 6-2, 6-4 and will now face former US Open champion Daniil Medvedev in the Indian Wells final.
Zverev was far from his best against the Italian and Sinner took full advantage, serving eight aces and winning 83 per cent of his first serve points on the way to victory.

Sinner is looking to win Indian Wells for the first time and will fancy his chances against Medvedev, whom Sinner has beaten three times consecutively.
Sinner has already made tennis history ahead of the final, entering the history books alongside two of the sport’s best ever players.
Jannik Sinner joins Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer
As per OptaAce, Sinner is now one of only three players to concede fewer than 30 games en route to the Men’s Singles final at Indian Wells since 2000.
Remarkably, the two other players to achieve the feat – Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer – both did so on three occasions.

Djokovic won fewer than 30 games in 2007, 2011 and 2015, while Federer did so 2004, 2017 and 2019.
Federer achieved his lowest total in 2019, losing only 26 games on his way to the final, where he lost to Dominic Thiem.
Remarkably, Djokovic conceded only 23 games on his way to the 2011 Indian Wells final; which he won after beating Rafael Nadal.
Sinner has conceded 28 games on his way to the 2026 final.
