Jannik Sinner beat Novak Djokovic in straight sets to reach the Wimbledon final where he will play Germany’s Alexander Zverev.

While Sinner searches for his first Grand Slam of the year, Zverev will be looking to win back-to-back titles, having won the French Open 33 days ago.

Who will win the Wimbledon final? Jannik Sinner or Alexander Zverev

The top two seeds collide!

The 29-year-old hasn’t lost a Grand Slam match since January, when Carlos Alcaraz beat him in the Australian Open semi-finals.

During his latest post-match press conference, Sinner suggested how Zverev has changed since winning his first major title.

Jannik Sinner says Alexander Zverev is playing ‘very aggressive’ at the moment

“When you finally achieve it, it’s amazing, and then it gives you this confidence boost,” said Sinner.

“We see it again here. We saw how aggressive he’s playing, serving very big.

“He is a tough player to play against. He was before, but now even more because of the confidence he has.

“When you start to win a lot of matches and don’t lose a lot, it shows that he is playing incredible tennis.

“I saw a little bit in the two weeks, but not so much. I saw the semis because he was playing before me, so I was watching. He is very, very aggressive at the moment.

“His confidence is good. He’s very relaxed on court at the moment, so this is good. Yeah, so let’s see.

“I’m happy to face him. I’ll try to do the best I can, and then we’ll see how it goes.

“It’s going to be very, very tough, very different than all the other matches we have played.

“But again, I enjoy the moment, and then we see how it goes.”

Sinner has won his last nine matches against Zverev, but is expecting a different challenge when they meet in the Wimbledon final.

The world number one knows he will play a more confident and dangerous Zverev than he’s ever seen, and also notes that the conditions could suit his opponent.

“I mean, less exchanges, less rhythm. This we know because of the surface being that fast,” said Sinner.

“Being also quite warm, it’s going to be good for a big server. He is definitely a big server!

“But in any case, look, I try to do my best on Sunday.

“It feels good again being back in a Grand Slam final. It’s good for me. I just try to do my best.

“Whatever happened in the past between me and him, it happened. In between, he won a Grand Slam in Paris, which gave him a lot of confidence. We can see the level he’s producing here.

“We all hope for a good match, and then we see how it goes.”

Jannik Sinner shares how he will prepare for his second Wimbledon final

Sinner was then asked what he will do the night before the Grand Slam final, and whether he has any superstitions.

“No, no, no superstitions. I’m very normal,” he said.

“I like to spend time with my team, with my friends, if they come.

“I think tomorrow England are playing. I like to watch football at the moment. The final is, I think, at 4. It’s, don’t say late, but it’s late afternoon, so you don’t wake up at 9 in the morning. You can sleep a little bit later.

“I am very relaxed. I also enjoy the moment, because I know how rare these days are. Grand Slam finals, they are tough to achieve. You also need to enjoy this moment and the process. Yeah, that’s it.”

Sinner will play his seventh Grand Slam final on Sunday.

The Italian has a 4-2 record in major finals.
