Jannik Sinner has arrived at Wimbledon as a somewhat changed player after his issues at the French Open.
Sinner struggled to deal with the heat this time last month in Paris, where he lost to Juan Manuel Cerundolo in the second round.
He hasn’t played on the ATP Tour since then, instead working hard with his team behind the scenes in a bid to better understand his body.
Ahead of his opening match at Wimbledon, Sinner has now been tasked with detailing the changes he’s made to his fitness routine.

Jannik Sinner confirms changes before Wimbledon
Wimbledon defending champion Sinner said to the media in London: “Yeah, of course you cannot simulate 100% what you feel in a match because of tension-wise everything going around before and after the match.
“We did some changes.
“I don’t say big, big changes.
“But I always believe in small details and small changes.
“We are happy at the moment with what we are doing.
“The result we’re not going to see here.
“It’s a long process.
“There’s no magic behind.
“But yeah, we are doing as much as we can.
“I’m very happy with the work we did in the last two and a half weeks.
“Very long days.
“I feel well-prepared.”

Jannik Sinner delighted by ‘really good’ tests after French Open
Sinner has clearly been working very hard in training, but as he mentioned, a match scenario will be different.
The world number one’s first test will be against Miomir Kecmanovic, who is currently 51st in the ATP rankings.
Also asked what tests he’s done since Paris and what he’s learned from them, Sinner said: “No, were general tests to see health-wise how I was, to be sure that all is okay with the body, which is.
“All tests were really good.
“Even though we are very sure we need to practice in hotter conditions.
“I feel like everywhere where we play is going to be very hot.
“Every year is getting warmer and warmer.
“It is a very important topic.
“But at the same time I’m happy with the work we’re doing.
“We try to improve in the best possible way, then we see how it goes in the future.”
Notably, temperatures soared above 30 degrees in the days preceding Wimbledon, but London should cool down for Sinner’s first match.
The Italian star has arrived with a 20-4 career record at the event, claiming his maiden title last year.
