Jannik Sinner secured yet another title at the Paris Masters, and he took a 2025 record from Carlos Alcaraz in the process.

Sinner defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime at the Paris Masters in straight sets to capture his first Masters title of 2025.

The Italian has become the World No. 1 again, at least until the end of the ATP Finals, and that’s not the only thing he’s taken from Alcaraz.

Sinner ended up nabbing another record from his Spanish counterpart after toppling Auger-Aliassime in Paris.

Jannik Sinner takes Carlos Alcaraz 2025 record after Paris win

Sinner’s win against Auger-Aliassime was his 14th win against a top 10 player in 2025, which is now one more than Alcaraz.

The Italian had already beaten World No. 3 Alexander Zverev convincingly in straight sets to earn his place in the final, and he followed it up with another top 10 win.

The new World No. 1 has also beaten Zverev at the Vienna Open, and Alex de Minaur in Vienna and the China Open.

At Wimbledon, Sinner defeated Novak Djokovic and Ben Shelton to claim more top 10 wins, and he also defeated Djokovic at Roland Garros.

Sinner also defeated Casper Ruud in Rome, as well as Zverev at the Australian Open on his way to the first Grand Slam of the year.

Carlos Alcaraz has a chance to get his record back in Turin

Both Sinner and Alcaraz will be given plenty of chances to bolster their top 10 wins when they turn their attention to the ATP Finals.

The groups are yet to be drawn for the year-end event, but Sinner and Alcaraz will be playing the other top ranked eight players.

The Italian and the Spaniard have proven they are levels above the rest of the tour, so expect them to swap the record around across the tournament.

The ATP Finals are set to kick off on November 9, with Sinner, Alcaraz, Djokovic, Zverev, Shelton, de Minaur, and Taylor Fritz already qualified for the tournament.
