Jannik Sinner is into his first-ever Monte Carlo final, having beaten Alexander Zverev earlier today.

It marks the third time the former world number one has beaten the German this year alone, all of which came in semi-finals.

He now awaits the winner of Carlos Alcaraz’s match with Valentin Vacherot later today.

Jannik Sinner, who has been near-flawless all week, is good value for his spot in the final.

And, in reaching this stage, made history whilst also providing himself with the opportunity to claim his first big title on clay.

Jannik Sinner matches legendary Novak Djokovic feat

As relayed by OptaAce, such was Sinner’s brilliance, he has actually brought himself level with an achievement only Novak Djokovic has managed before.

That came in 2015, when he enjoyed a start to the season unlike anything tennis has ever seen before.

What does Alexander Zverev need to change to beat Jannik Sinner again?

He's now lost nine times in a row…

The Italian has now won 16 straight Masters 1000 matches, and only the 24-time Grand Slam champion can say he has achieved this prior.

Djokovic naturally went on to win the title in Monte Carlo. Sinner will hope to do the same.

Jannik Sinner could win fourth straight Masters 1000 event

After completing the Sunshine Double last month, and winning the Paris Masters at the back-end of last year, tomorrow marks a huge opportunity for Sinner.

And, whilst his opponent is yet to be confirmed, the bulk of the tennis world will be willing Carlos Alcaraz to confirm the much-anticipated final.

The top two ranked players in the world have yet to face one another this year, but have still shared all of the top titles between one another.

Sinner will have added incentive to continue his incredible Masters 1000 win streak, whilst Alcaraz still has Valentin Vacherot to contend with before he can start thinking about a reunion with Sinner.
