Jack Draper has been out-of-action on the ATP Tour since withdrawing from the second round of the US Open.

An arm injury kept the British number one away from tennis for the rest of 2025, and he’s still not ready to return ahead of the new season.

Draper pulled out of the Australian Open and is now expected to return for Great Britain’s Davis Cup tie against Norway.

Ahead of his return to the sport, Draper has been dealt another blow after the results of the first tournaments of the year.

Jack Draper is no longer a top ten player

Draper’s excellent start to the 2025 season helped him reach a career ranking high of world number four ahead of Wimbledon.

The star won Indian Wells, and reached the final of the Madrid Open, as he stormed the top ten for the first time.

Who is to blame for Jack Draper’s injury issues?

Draper has been dropping in the rankings during his hiatus from tennis, but he’s finally fallen out of the top ten of the ATP Tour.

Alexander Bublik’s victory against Lorenzo Musetti in the Hong Kong Open final ensured he would replace the British star.

There is just 75 points difference between Draper and Bublik, meaning the Brit could return to the top ten quite quickly upon his return.

Who will Jack Draper play on his return to tennis?

Draper could be in for a tough time upon his return to tennis as Great Britain line up against a strong Norway team.

The British number one could play against world number 12 Casper Ruud, who beat Draper in their only meeting during the Madrid Open final.

Where will Jack Draper be ranked by the end of 2026?

19 year old Nicolai Budkov Kjær, who recently played in the NextGen Finals, will also play for an exciting Norway team.

Draper has been picked for Great Britain alongside Cameron Norrie, Jacob Fearnley, Lloyd Glasspool and Julian Cash.
