Jack Draper won’t compete for the 2026 French Open men’s singles title.

The former world number four recently suffered a knee injury, which forced him out of the Barcelona Open and Madrid Open.

Do you see any way back for Jack Draper?

Another injury!

It has now been confirmed that he will also miss the Italian Open and French Open.

Draper announced his withdrawal from both events on social media.

Jack Draper says he has been ‘advised not to play Roland Garros’ due to injury

Draper shared the following message on his Instagram story.

“My knee is on the mend, and I’ve started back hitting balls, but unfortunately, I have been advised not to play Roland Garros,” said Draper.

“As gutting as it is to miss another Slam, the advice is not to rush straight back into playing five-set tennis on clay.

“Off the back of the arm injury I sustained last year, I’ve been restricted with my training, and by giving myself time to heal and build, I can be the player I want to be out there once again.

“See you soon!”

Draper missed the end of the 2025 season and the beginning of the 2026 season with a bone bruise in his left arm.

Now dealing with a knee issue, it begs the question whether Draper will ever return to full fitness.

How many matches has Jack Draper actually played this year?

He’s since played two Masters 1000 events and beaten some top players, including Novak Djokovic.

That Indian Wells run reminded fans exactly why Draper was ranked inside the top five a year ago.

Unfortunately for Draper, his latest injury setback will see him fall even further down the rankings.

Jack Draper will tumble down the rankings next month

In 2025, Draper reached the quarter-finals of the Italian Open and the fourth round of the French Open, earning himself 400 points.

If you were to subtract 400 points from his current tally (960), he would be left with just 560 points.

A points total that will likely see Draper drop out of the top 100.

With another 200 points to defend at the Queen’s Club Championships in June, Draper cannot afford to miss much more time due to injury.

Only time will tell when and where he will return, but we certainly wish him all the best.
