Iga Swiatek has shared the biggest difference between the courts at the WTA Finals and everywhere else on the tour.
Swiatek heads to the WTA Finals in good form as she looks to win the tournament for the first time since 2023.
The World No. 2 has won three tournaments this year, in Cincinnati, Seoul, and Wimbledon, and a victory at the WTA Finals would be the icing on the cake of an impressive season.
Swiatek arrived at the tournament days before the tournament is set to kick off, and she’s noticed a change in the courts already.

Swiatek is looking to take the WTA Finals crown from Coco Gauff, who won the Saudi Arabia tournament in 2024.
During her practice sessions, Swiatek has noticed something about the conditions that makes it different to most tournaments on the WTA Tour.
Speaking to Sky Sports about her preparations for the tournament, Swiatek said: “I think I was one of the first players that got here.
“So, I’m happy that I had a couple of days to practice because the conditions are totally different than on any other tournament with the altitude. So yeah, it’s pretty funny, but, I’m just excited to start my first match tomorrow.”
The Pole has been drawn in a group with Amanda Anisimova, Elena Rybakina, and Madison Keys at the tournament.

Swiatek’s dominance continued into the final, where she beat Jessica Pegula in straight sets with just one game dropped.
