“I struggle to see an empty stadium” Roger Federer dampens excitement over the return of professional tennis tournaments


Roger Federer hopes that when the tour returns it’s a return to normality rather than to a situation where they have to play in front of empty seats

 

Roger Federer has revealed in an exclusive video with French Open champion Gustavo Kuerten that he can’t picture the possibility of playing matches without any fans watching live.

Federer was asked by former world No. Guga Kuerten whether when he went to sleep did he ever imagine playing without anybody watching? Federer said “Honestly I struggle to see, in a vision, an empty stadium. I hope it doesn’t happen,. Even though when we practise we are used to having no people. so for us it’s definitely possible to play with no fans though in a way i really hope that when the tour returns we have a normal tour back.”
