Hutchins is a sometime doubles partner of Andy Murray but a regular with former Wimbledon doubles champion Huss.

Hutchins and Huss raced into a one-set lead before their opponents levelled the match.

The final set went with serve until the seventh game when Huss failed to hold his serve having saved three break points.

Rochus served out the next game to leave Hutchins serving to save the match at 5-3 down and the Anglo-Australian team had to save a match point at deuce before closing the gap to 5-4.

Huss and Hutchins had another match point to save on Garcia-Lopez’s serve but they could not save the third of the match.
