The player who shocked Novak Djokovic in the third round of Indian Wells in 2024 is still yet to win a Grand Slam match.
Djokovic’s retirement from tennis is looming after two decades of domination on the ATP Tour which has seen 24 Grand Slam wins.
The Serbian’s incredible level has rarely seen him upset on tour, but there have been a few shocks for Djokovic.
The star was dumped out of Indian Wells by the World No. 123 in 2024, he has failed to translate that to any Grand Slam wins.

Luca Nardi has still not won a Grand Slam match after Novak Djokovic upset in 2024
Luca Nardi introduced himself to tennis fans with a stunning 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 win against Djokovic at Indian Wells in 2024.
The Italian became the lowest-ranked player to ever beat Djokovic at a Masters or Grand Slam event at the 1000 event.
However, Nardi has failed to live up to the hype of defeating Djokovic at the event as he’s still yet to win a Grand Slam match.
The star has dropped out of the first round of Wimbledon, the US Open, Roland Garros, and the Australian Open on seven different occasions.
Nardi’s most recent Grand Slam loss came at the US Open, where he was defeated by Tomáš Macháč in straight sets.
Novak Djokovic’s biggest-ever upset
Djokovic is rarely upset by the lesser ranked players, but one of his biggest upsets came at the tournament he’s dominated the most.
The star has been supreme at the Australian Open throughout the years, but he came unstuck during the 2017 event.
Djokovic was defeated by World No. 117 Denis Istomin in the second round of the tournament in five sets across four hours and 48 minutes.
This was Djokovic’s first loss at the tournament for three years, and allowed Roger Federer to win the tournament.
