Novak Djokovic is still yet to win a single ATP title so far in 2026.

Djokovic has won 101 ATP titles in his decorated career, which includes a record 24 Grand Slams and 40 Masters 1000 titles.

However, the Serbian is yet to get his hands on a winner’s trophy so far in 2026, with Djokovic’s loss in the Australian Open final the closest he has come so far.

While Djokovic has failed to win a title so far in 2026, Ignacio Buse has joined the winners’ circle for the first time after his victory at the Hamburg Open.

Ignacio Buse has won more ATP titles than Novak Djokovic in 2026

Buse was the world number 57 heading into the Hamburg Open, and had never even reached a final at an ATP tournament before.

The Peruvian had to come through qualifying to make the main draw in Hamburg, where Buse beat the likes of Flavio Cobolli and Jakub Mensik to reach his first ATP final.

Buse would then complete a dream week by beating Tommy Paul in a three-set final to claim his first title of any sort and at ATP 500 level.

The 22-year-old has now won more ATP titles than Djokovic this year, with Buse confirming he will reach a new career-high ranking of world number 31.

Buse even received a message from Djokovic on social media after winning his first ATP title.

Djokovic wrote on his Instagram story, “Congratulations Ignacio! The first of many.”

Ignacio Buse will hope to win his first Grand Slam match at Roland Garros

Although Buse has now won an ATP 500 level title and is on the brink of becoming a top 30 player, he is still yet to win a Grand Slam main draw match.

Buse has actually only made one previous Grand Slam main draw appearance, losing in the first round of the US Open last year to Ben Shelton.

The Peruvian has lost in the first qualifying round of all the other three Grand Slams, with Buse missing the Australian Open earlier this year.

Buse will be hoping to change that at Roland Garros this year, but he faces a tricky opening round match against 11th seed Andrey Rublev.

This will be a first-time meeting between Buse and Rublev, which will take place on Monday, May 25.
