Stan Wawrinka is considered one of the greatest players of his generation, alongside the likes of Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.

The Swiss star won three Grand Slam titles amid a period of dominance by Djokovic, Nadal and Roger Federer, winning in Australia, France and the USA.

Remarkably, Wawrinka is still competing, despite being 40 years old.

Most recently, he competed at the Shanghai Masters, becoming one of the oldest players to appear in the main draw of a Masters 1000 event.

Wawrinka has won 16 ATP titles during his career, including his Grand Slam triumphs.

There is one active player on the ATP Tour who has never won a Grand Slam, but has already surpassed Wawrinka’s total.

Andrey Rublev has more ATP titles than Stan Wawrinka

Remarkably, Andrey Rublev has already won more ATP titles in his career than Stan Wawrinka.

The former world number five, now ranked 15th, won his first title at the 2018 Umag Open. Since then, he has picked up titles in Bastad, Hong Kong, Rotterdam and Gijon, to name a few.

The Russian has won two Masters 1000 titles: the 2023 Monte Carlo Masters and 2024 Madrid Open.

Rublev won his last title at the 2025 Doha Open in February, beating Jack Draper in the final.

However, Rublev has failed to make his mark on the Grand Slam stage: he has never advanced beyond the quarter-finals.

As for Wawrinka, he won his last title eight years ago at the 2017 Geneva Open.
