Hantuchova beaten in Luxembourg

The Slovakian succumbed in straight sets 6-2 7-6 (7/4) to Peer, who will now take on sixth seed Sabine Lisicki after the world number 28 from Germany put out Patty Schnyder of Switzerland 6-4 6-2.

Fifth seed Yanina Wickmayer will be the favourite in the other semi-final after booking her place with a 7-6 (7/1) 4-6 6-1 victory over fellow Belgian Kirsten Flipkens.

Wickmayer will now take on Swiss Timea Bacsinszky who overcame Katerina Srebotnik of Slovenia 6-7 (3/7) 6-1 6-4.
