Six of the wildcards in both the men’s and women’s singles are picked by the French Tennis Federation and the USTA and Tennis Australia choose one apiece through a reciprocal arrangement.

Ginepri, 31, has reached the last 16 twice at Roland Garros but has slipped down the rankings in recent years and is now 275 in the world.

Talented teenager Kyrgios will be playing in his second French Open after losing in the second round last year to Marin Cilic.

They will be joined in the draw by former top-30 duo Paul-Henri Mathieu and Michael Llodra as well as Pierre-Hugues Herbert, Axel Michon, Albano Olivetti, and Lucas Pouille.

In the women’s singles, Fiona Ferro, Claire Feuerstein, Amandine Hesse, Mathilde Johansson, Pauline Parmentier, and Alize Lim have all been given wildcards along with American Taylor Townsend and Australia's Ashleigh Barty.

The eight qualifying wildcard places in the men’s draw have gone to Frenchmen Mathias Bourgue, Enzo Couacaud,Š—å Jonathan Eysseric, Quentin Halys,Š—åTristan Lamasine, Laurent Lokoli, Johan Tatlot, Tak Khunn Wang and Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis.

Wildcards for the women’s qualifying have been awarded to Manon Arcangioli, Estelle Cascino,Š—åStephanie Foretz-Gacon,Š—åMyrtille Georges, Irina Ramialison, Constance Sibille, Jade Suvrijn and Storm Sanders.
