Francisco Cerundolo is preparing for a tough test against Jannik Sinner at the Paris Masters and he’s pinpointed what the World No. 2 does better than anyone else on the ATP Tour.

Sinner still has a chance of reaching World No. 1 before the end of the year, and he’s been relentless at the Paris Masters.

The Italian swept aside Zizou Bergs in straight sets in his opening round, losing just six games to the Belgian.

His next opponent, Cerundolo, has shared what he’s most worried about facing when he plays the World No. 2.

Francisco Cerundolo pinpoints Jannik Sinner’s best attribute

The Argentine has already won two matches at the Paris Masters, but he will have to be at his very best if he wants to defeat Sinner.

The World No. 21 has praised Sinner before the match, and summarised what he expects to see from the Italian in their match.

“Whatever happens, I’ll have to play my best tennis. He’s one of the best in the world, without a doubt, alongside Carlos [Alcaraz],” he said to the ATP.

“They’ve been dominating the tour for two to three years, practically from start to finish,” he added. “It’ll be an amazing test. Hopefully I can play great tennis because he’ll demand everything from me.”

The star then shared what he’s most worried about facing when he plays Sinner. “He’s the best ballstriker on tour right now,” he explained.

“He can do anything he wants with the ball on both sides, so I can’t allow him to be comfortable. I’ll have to serve very well, play very aggressively, dictate the points as much as I can, because he’ll push me to the limit. I’m playing against the best player in the world on indoor courts.”

Francisco Cerundolo and Jannik Sinner’s head-to-head

The Argentine has plenty of reasons to be positive heading into his match against Sinner at the Paris Masters.

The star has defeated the Italian on two previous occasions, and they were both at ATP 1000 Masters events.

Cerundolo got the best of Sinner in Miami in 2022 and Rome in 2023, so he has wins against the Italian on two surfaces.

However, Sinner still leads the head-to-head with the Argentine.

The Italian has defeated Cerundolo on three occasions, with victories in Rome, Vienna, and a Davis Cup tie.
