How would you rate that Monte Carlo final out of 10?
Matteo Berrettini and Flavio Cobolli led the way, both winning all three of their matches during the final tournament stage.
Jannik Sinner, the world number one, remains the best Italian player on the men’s side, as demonstrated by his recent triumphs in Indian Wells, Miami and Monte Carlo.
In a recent interview, Cobolli has discussed how Sinner’s success has impacted his fellow Italians on the ATP Tour.
Flavio Cobolli says Jannik Sinner success is reducing the pressure on Italian tennis players
Cobolli discussed the impact of Sinner’s success in an interview with Eurosport Germany.
“I read the interview in which Lorenzo [Musetti] said that this takes away some of our pressure,” Cobolli said, as reported by Punto de Break. “Because, with Jannik, we have someone who wins a tournament almost every week.
“It’s true,” the Italian concluded.

Cobolli went on to expand upon his point, noting the changing expectations that have come with greater success amongst Italian tennis players.
“Nowadays, if you reach the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam, at home it is often considered something normal,” he said. “And it’s a shame.
“Everyone has seen that Italy has won the Davis Cup three times in a row and that I have won the title in Acapulco.
“Let’s be clear: we are very happy with this situation and with these successes. It’s fantastic that things are like this.”

Sinner, who won his first Monte Carlo title this week, has regained the world number one spot from Carlos Alcaraz.
The Italian is scheduled to return to competitive play at the Madrid Open. However, he is yet to confirm his participation.
As for Flavio Cobolli, he is currently competing in Munich, Germany.
