Felix Auger-Aliassime celebrates ‘extra sweet’ Brussels Open triumph
Felix Auger-Aliassime’s latest triumph follows on from his 2025 titles in Adelaide and Montpellier, both of which were also won on hard courts.
In fact, all of Auger-Aliassime’s eight titles have been won on hard courts, with seven being indoor events.
Reacting to his triumph on Instagram, Auger-Aliassime said: “Number eight feels extra sweet.
“Putting everything into it to share these moments with my people.
“Thank you for the special week Brussels. Not done yet.”
Auger-Aliassime will now look ahead to the Swiss Indoors event, where he faces a tricky test in the first round against a fellow Canadian.
Auger-Aliassime faces Gabriel Diallo in the Swiss Indoors first round
Gabriel Diallo will certainly provide a stern test for Felix Auger-Aliassime in the Swiss Indoors first round.
Diallo is an excellent young player, one who boasts a powerful serve and high-accuracy groundstrokes.
The young Canadian has burst onto the Tour in 2025, winning his first Tour title at the Libema Open and pushing world number four Taylor Fritz to five sets at Wimbledon.
Most recently, Diallo reached the Almaty Open second round, before losing to eventual semi-finalist James Duckworth.

As for Auger-Aliassime, this week is crucial. He is looking to capture one of the last five ATP Finals spots, but sits 340 points behind eighth-placed Lorenzo Musetti.
Auger-Aliassime and Diallo have never faced each other before on the ATP Tour.
