Djokovic passes Troicki test

Djokovic was not at his best and struggled to control his serve but it mattered little as his compatriot failed even to earn a single break point.

Djokovic will next face Fernando Verdasco, who beat Juan Carlos Ferrero 7-5 6-4.

Fourth seed Nikolay Davydenko was even more clinical than Djokovic as he defeated Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-1 6-0 to book a quarter-final with Marin Cilic, a 6-2 2-6 6-0 winner against Julien Benneteau.
