Denis Shapovalov has previously himself been called one of the best tennis players to watch.
Shapovalov is a former world number 10 and Wimbledon semi-finalist, and has also won four ATP titles in his career.
The Canadian is currently the world number 41, with Shapovalov struggling to achieve consistent results, despite his entertaining style of play.
As well as having one of the most eye-catching games in men’s tennis, Shapovalov is also a fan of one of his fellow ATP players’ games.

Denis Shapovalov calls Carlos Alcaraz the best player to watch on the ATP Tour
Shapovalov spoke to Sam Querrey in an interview on the ATP Tour YouTube Channel, where he was asked which player he most enjoyed watching.
The 27-year-old responded straight away by naming Carlos Alcaraz, claiming that the seven-time Grand Slam champion is ‘so much fun to watch’.
“For sure Carlos! I think the guy is just so much fun to watch,” said Shapovalov. “You know, every match he plays he is going to come up with some crazy points.
“I like watching his highlights, because I feel like the guy’s always producing something insane you know, no matter the match, so it’s a lot of fun to watch.”

Shapovalov has played Alcaraz twice, losing both matches in straight sets, as he re-lived those two defeats to the world number two.
“Twice I think. He’s schooled me both times!” admitted Shapovalov. “…First time we played was the year I was coming back from the injury, we played at Roland Garros night time, so it wasn’t the best time for me to play and I felt like I was playing amazing tennis and I couldn’t win a game in the first set. I was down 5-0, I think I won my first game at 5-0 and I felt like every game, every point was like insane quality.
“Then we played at Indian Wells, also a place where he enjoys to play, and it kind of started off the same way. I felt like I was playing good and from the first game the guy was hitting crazy passes, crazy shots, so it was a bit tough to keep up with him. But yeah, he’s a really, really good player and tough to play against.”

Denis Shapovalov names Jannik Sinner when asked which ATP player’s serve he would want
Shapovalov also has a lot of admiration for world number one Jannik Sinner, whose serve he said he would like.
The four-time ATP title winner has a strong serve, but Shapovalov named both Nick Kyrgios and Sinner as active players he said he would like to have the serve of.
“You would have to go with Kyrgios even though he’s not playing so much lately,” answered Shapovalov. “…You know, who I actually think has improved his serve quite a bit is Jannik Sinner.
“You know, when he started his career he didn’t really have an effective serve, but lately when I’ve played him at Indian Wells and when I’ve seen him lately, his serve is really tough.”
Sinner is second in the ATPTour.com’s serving rating, only behind Reilly Opelka, while Shapovalov is down in 75th.
