Coco Gauff has already played a hectic schedule in 2026, after opting to play both events in the Middle Eastern swing.

Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek withdrew from Dubai, along with a whole host of other top players at the Middle Eastern event.

Gauff’s fortunes were mixed at both events, with the star reaching the semi-finals in Dubai and just the second round in Qatar.

The American is set to return home to play Indian Wells, and she’s now confirmed another event she will play later this year.

Coco Gauff’s 2026 schedule continues to grow

Gauff, along with Jasmine Paolini, has been confirmed to play the Women’s Stuttgart Open in April during the clay court swing.

The American is yet to win the event in her career, after playing the German tournament on four occasions.

Where will Coco Gauff be ranked at the end of 2026?

Gauff has not reached past the quarter-finals stage of the tournament, having been knocked out in the last eight in the past two years.

Coincidentally, Gauff lost her 2025 quarter-final match to Paolini, who has also signed up for the clay court event.

Despite falling in the quarter-finals, Gauff used the tournament as a launchpad to go on to win her first Roland Garros crown.

Perhaps the American is hoping lightning will strike twice as she makes her fifth appearance at the Stuttgart competition.

Coco Gauff’s WTA Tour clay court titles

Gauff has made no secret that the clay courts are a surface she has previously struggled with in her career.

The American has claimed just two titles on the surface, which makes her Roland Garros triumph even more remarkable.

Gauff’s first clay court trophy came right at the start of her career when she won the Emilia-Romagna Open in 2021.

She lifted the trophy of the WTA 250 tournament by defeating the likes of Kateřina Siniaková, Amanda Anisimova, and Wang Qiang.

Gauff has lost three further clay court finals, including the 2022 Roland Garros and the Italian Open and Madrid Open in 2025.
