Though she needed just 68 minutes to close the match, Chakvetadze was far from perfect in her win over Dellacqua as she committed 11 double faults and was forced to save five of nine break points.

Chakvetadze will face Sorana Cirstea, a 3-6 6-4 6-3 winner over sixth seeded Italian Flavia Pennetta, for a place in the semi-finals.
