Carlos Alcaraz has sent a message to Casper Ruud following their successful doubles partnership during the Laver Cup.

Alcaraz and Ruud, ranked first and 12th in the world respectively, combined to defeat Alex Michelsen and Reilly Opelka to keep Team Europe in the tie on day three.

The two stars triumphed 7-6, 6-1 against their American opponents. However, their victory could not save Team Europe, with the team eventually falling to Team World, 15-9.

The pair were a bright spark in what was an underwhelming campaign for Team Europe, and one can hope that they will feature again at future Laver Cup events.

Following the event, Ruud sent a message on social media, to which Alcaraz swiftly responded.
