It may be the tennis off-season, but Carlos Alcaraz seemingly never takes a break from capturing new records.

After all, the 22-year-old has just been confirmed as joining a new, supremely elite list that only five other men have previously been a part of.

It’s a testament to not just his talent but the tangible success he amasses because of it.

Carlos Alcaraz is well on track to finish his career as one of the all-time tennis greats.

Carlos Alcaraz WILL complete the Career Grand Slam before Jannik Sinner – discuss…

Especially given just how often he keeps company with them in terms of exceptional statistics.

Carlos Alcaraz joins list that only the very best are a part of

This latest success will only reinforce that notion, as it confirms Alcaraz’s place alongside Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray and Jannik Sinner.

All former world number ones and all multiple Grand Slam champions, these are regarded as some of the best tennis players to have ever played the game.

And now, Alcaraz must once again be mentioned alongside them, having become the latest man to win more than 70 matches in a season whilst losing less than 10.

He finished 2025 with 71 wins and just nine defeats, making him the sixth man this century to accomplish that feat.

It does put him at the bottom of the list, but given how much longer he has to flourish throughout his career, it’s scary to think how he could creep up this table and many others to finish his career as an all-time legend of the sport.

Carlos Alcaraz continues to break records

Although this is not an outright record, it will always be refreshing for Alcaraz to see his name mentioned alongside such legends.

And, he already has more than enough accolades to highlight his generational quality, particularly in the ‘youngest-ever’ category.

Given the way he burst onto the scene, it should come as no surprise that he holds the record for being the youngest man and the first male teenager in the Open Era to become the world number one after winning the US Open in 2022.

He then finished the year in that spot, again becoming the youngest-ever to do so.

Alcaraz is also the youngest-ever to win a Grand Slam title on all three surfaces following his 2024 title at Roland Garros.

And this just scratches the surface.

Who will win the 2026 men’s Australian Open?

Heading into Melbourne, where Alcaraz has admitted his ultimate goal is winning the Australian Open, the youngster has a golden opportunity to achieve the ultimate ‘youngest-ever’ triumph.

If he is to win that major title in January, he will be the youngest-ever to complete the career Grand Slam. The world will be watching.
