The British star bounced back from an early season stumble to reach the fourth round of Roland Garros and the quarter-finals of Wimbledon.

On X, South American journalist Gonzalo Ferreyr provided a worrying update on Norrie’s progress while working in Argentina.
The ESPN writer said: “Cameron Norrie was injured during his preseason in Buenos Aires and withdrew from the Road To Australia.”

Norrie had already been confirmed for the ASB Classic in Auckland, which acts as one of his home tournaments as he grew up in New Zealand.
The British star was also expected to play the Australian Open, but the first Grand Slam of the year now looks in doubt for Norrie.
It is currently unclear what the injury is, or how long Norrie will be out of action, but it’s a huge blow for the world number 27.

Norrie managed to play most of the season injury free in 2025, which was a major boost for the Brit after a few years of difficulties.
The star missed three months of the season in 2024 over the summer due to an unfortunate forearm injury.
