Cameron Norrie’s inconsistent season in 2025 has inspired him to make a change as he heads into next year.
Norrie is competing at the Paris Masters, which will likely be the last tournament of a season that has had both highs and lows.
The British star was on the cusp of dropping out of the top 100 after the Miami Open, but a strong run to the Wimbledon quarter-finals in the summer helped change his momentum.
The World No. 29 has revealed what he’s learned from his inconsistent 2025 and what he will change heading into next season.

Cameron Norrie will make a big change in 2026
The British No. 2 has confirmed that he will likely be more selective about the tournaments he chooses to play in 2026.
The hectic schedule has been criticised extensively by players, and Norrie has revealed he might skip some tournaments next year.
“I learned a lot this year. There was a lot of tournaments I was not as prepared as I would be. [I want to] pick the tournaments I play well at and maybe take a tournament off here or there,” he told Sky Sports.
“The schedule is so brutal,” he added. “I want to keep enjoying my tennis more and more. I was able to do that the second part of the year, and I want to do that for next year.”
Norrie has impressed in the Grand Slams this term, adding a Roland Garros fourth round and US Open third round to his quarter-final appearance at Wimbledon.
Cameron Norrie reveals which shot he wants to evolve
Norrie has also highlighted a major change he wants to make from one of his shots as he heads into a new season.
The star has revealed plans to address his backhand in the off-season, as he takes a break in December ahead of the run-in to the Australian Open.
“I think a little bit on my backhand, I’ve been pretty one-dimensional with it, obviously always going closed stance. I think I want to use open stanced a little bit more,” he said.
“I think just playing on instinct and wanting to come forward, want to do that stuff. Everyone’s getting better and better and evolving as players, you can’t just stay the same.”
Norrie picked up a win in his opening round match with Sebastian Baez at the Paris Masters, and he will play Carlos Alcaraz in the second round.
