Cameron Norrie set up a tantalising first-time-ever match against Jannik Sinner in the fourth round of the Madrid Open.
The British star defeated Thiago Agustín Tirante in straight sets to reach the fourth round of the Madrid Open for the first time in his career.
Norrie has beaten Tomas Machac and now Tirante and he will now play world number one Sinner in Madrid.
Looking ahead to his first-time match with Sinner, Norrie has confirmed how he intends to beat the Italian.

Norrie and Sinner are yet to play on the ATP Tour, but they have practiced together on multiple occasions recently.

Speaking after his match with Tirante, the British number one looked ahead to his battle with the best player on the ATP Tour.
“I’ve never played him, which is crazy. We’ve been on the Tour together for maybe five years now so I’m excited to play him, but every time we practice he rips me up and smokes me,” he said.
“He’s really confident, probably the most confident player in tennis right now. I’m really excited,” before outlining his game plan.
“I’m going to take it to him. I’m just going to play my game, play the ball in front of me. He’s going to be a really tough guy to play against but I’m excited to play him for the first time.”
Norrie has notched victories against world number ones before, most recently by defeating Carlos Alcaraz at the Paris Masters.

Norrie is now ranked world number 18 on the ATP Tour after reaching the fourth round of the Spanish Masters event.
The British star has now reached the last 16 in three of the last five Masters 1000 events, which is impressive consistency from Norrie.
