Cameron Norrie has already confirmed the first tournament of his 2026 schedule following a dream run at the Paris Masters.

Norrie stunned World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz by beating the Spaniard in an impressive three sets in the second round of the Paris Masters.

The British star has risen up the rankings since his quarter-final at Wimbledon and Norrie looks set to ensure he will be seeded for the Australian Open.

Before 2025 has even finished, the British No. 2 has confirmed the first tournament he will play next year.

Cameron Norrie confirms first 2026 tournament

Norrie currently sits at World No. 27 in the ATP live rankings, the British No. 2’s highest ranking since 2022.

The star will be looking to use the momentum built from a strong end to 2025 at the start of the 2026 season.

He will do so by playing the ASB Classic in Auckland, which begins in the new year on January 5 until the 17.

Norrie has played the tournament several times over the years, reaching the final on two occasions at his ‘home’ tournament.

The Brit represented New Zealand between 2009 and 2013, before switching his allegiance to Great Britain.

The tournament is an ATP 250 event and takes place the week before the Australian Open kicks off.

Cameron Norrie ensured a career first with Carlos Alcaraz win in Paris

Norrie’s career has seen him win Masters events and crack the ATP Tour top eight, but he achieved a first at the Paris Masters.

His victory over Carlos Alcaraz was his first-ever win over a World No. 1 throughout his entire tennis career.

Norrie has beaten Alcaraz before, but never when he was at the top of the ATP Tour summit. The Brit has defeated the Spaniard in three of their last five matches.

Alcaraz’s last win against Norrie came in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon, where he defeated the Brit in straight sets.
